Coldable 🤙

Coldable lets you search for key-phrases in specific local areas (suburbs, towns, cities etc.). It generates a list of local businessess you can cold-call to. You can create a short-list, then jump into "research" mode which lets you quickly view information about the business and take your own internal notes. From there you can sell your B2B services, inquire about job opportunities, run surveys etc.

Getting started

It works by using Google Maps, which requires a developer API key. In order to generate your own API key, follow these instructions:

• Go to Google Cloud Platform.
• If prompted with Terms of Service, read and agree if you would like to continue.
• Click on Activate in the top banner to activate your account.
• Click on Billing in the left hand navigation and click on Add Billing Account. Follow the prompts to start your free trial.
• Go to Maps Javascript API and click Enable.
• Go to Places API and click Enable.
• Go to Geocoding API and click Enable.
• Go to Billing to select your billing acount and click Set Account.
• Go to Credentials and click Create Credentials > API key.
• Copy the API key provided to you and paste it in the form to the right to validate. What happens next? Coldable will do a ping test to Maps Javascript API, Places API and Geocoding API to make sure the API key works for all the components it needs to function.

Please be mindful of Google's Terms of Service and Pricing. They offer $200/monthly free credits which count towards your Coldable searches. Keep an eye on your Billing and set up a budget alert if you use this service heavily.
